AYA Cuenca
“Yoga meets you exactly where you are — not where you think you should be. Every breath, every moment on the mat, is an opportunity to practice compassion, patience, and presence."
Aya’s journey as a yoga teacher is rooted in a deep personal commitment to mindfulness, embodiment, and healing.
Training and Education
Over years of dedicated practice and study, she has developed a teaching style that honors both the physical and emotional layers of yoga. Her training emphasizes accessible movement, breath awareness, and cultivating inner resilience.
Teaching is also Aya’s way of coming home to herself. Even on the hardest days, stepping into the studio reminds her that she’s part of something bigger — a shared experience of breath, movement, strength, and mindfulness that fosters collective healing.
Expect an uplifting, feel-good vibe in Aya’s classes, with playlists featuring artists like Maggie Rogers, Dua Lipa, and Harry Styles - creating a rhythm that supports both movement and rest.
Get to Know AYA
For Aya, teaching yoga is about creating space — space for connection, healing, exploration, and transformation. She finds deep inspiration in the quiet, powerful moments during class: when a student's breath softens, tension melts away, or the familiar collective sigh fills the room in Savasana. These are the moments when people come home to themselves, and Aya feels honored to hold space for that growth and vulnerability.
INSPIRATION
Aya’s favorite pose is whichever one she resists the most — because she believes resistance points the way to what needs to be softened, released, or transformed.

Teaching Style
Aya’s classes are welcoming, empowering, and deeply supportive. She offers a variety of options within each pose, encouraging students to honor their own unique bodies and experiences. Her goal is for every student to leave class feeling more connected to their breath, their body, and the community around them — and to carry the joy and tools they cultivate on the mat into their everyday lives, whether that’s breathing through anxiety, grounding through chaos, or simply becoming more present.
MORE ABOUT AYA
Outside of the studio, Aya’s biggest passion is being a mom to her almost two-year-old, a role that continues to teach her patience, mindfulness, and unconditional love. She also finds joy in slowing down, moving intentionally, and savoring the little moments that life offers.
